A day to celebrate!

Today was my sweet girl's 2nd birthday! it was only appropriate that she wear a tshirt that said. "I'm the Birthday Girl!"

She has really opened up so much more today! This morning, we went to a factory that makes replica terra cotta warriors. You caould also buy replicas there...from 3 inch size to life size. I bought a few of the in between sizes. They are shipping those back for us.

After that we went to the actual site of the army. It was quite interesting to see this...and know that they were buried underground for more than 2000 years. They were just discovered in 1974 by a local farmer. The farmer actually works at the museum. He autographs books about the statues.

For dinner tonight, we ventured alone to a local Chinese place - fancy that! Emma was quite wild during the meal believe it or not! It was her bedtime and she was hungry.

Back at the room, we got my parents on skype and had a birthday party. OUr guide, JoJo, had arranged for a birthday cake to be made for us. Our group met here in our room and sang and ate cake. Emma was not too into the cake. I even put icing on her forehead and cheeks...apparently that's a Chinese custom, but she was not happy. She grabbed some wipes and started the clean up process.

All in all it was a fabulous, but tiring day. Tomorrow is a free day. We are going to walk around the town and go to Starb*cks! YUM!

Happy 2nd birthday to the most beatiful and precious girl in all the world! Momma loves you
