Two Years Ago Today...

Two years ago today, I was at the beach with my family and two other families. We went to eat at a restaurant to celebrate our friend Amaris' birthday. As we (Amaris and me) sat in front of the restaurant we started talking and I said, as I have said often before, "If I am not married by the time I am 40, I am adopting a baby from China." Amaris said, "Why are you waiting until then? Why not do it now when you have more energy?" That got me thinking...why was I waiting? Mr. Right may never come along...there may never be enough money...but what I do have is an incredible desire to be a Momma. I knew nothing about the adoption process...didn 't even know if I would be eligible to adopt. The next night I went to the bookstore and got lots of books about adoption and I spent the rest of my vacation reading and praying about Emma! I am so excited to help Emma grow up to be who Jesus created her to be! How thankful I am for that conversation that got things rolling...without that, I wouldn't have made the cutoff. God's timing is perfect! I pray that He will use this time to prepare me to be the best Momma I can be!

Ok, I'll say it and get it over with... You might be 40 after all by the time China gets to your log in date..(JUST KIDDING) :) So glad you started when you did Miss Angie!!!

PS- I would have been very tempted to have John use a bush instead of treking back 1/4 mile! lol.

Susan...I thought the same thing! I even thought I may still be the oldest PTA mom! :) Such is life...glad I started when I did!

Also, I tried the whole "go in the woods thing" but he REALLY had to go and I didn't want to think about the possibility of poison ivy where the sun don't shine! HAHA!
