My Easter Finery

One of my most favorite things about Easter as a child was getting all dressed up. Every Easter eve found me in pink rollers. My brother, Tom, and I would get up at the crack of dawn to see the basket of goodies left by the Easter bunny...we'd carry our baskets to church for Sunrise Service...me still in pink rollers. After Sunrise service, we'd head home and get all dressed up. I always felt like a princess getting ready...I loved for me hair to be curled! Granted, it never stayed curled past Sunday school, but that didn't matter! I found these old pictures this week...I think they are Easter pictures...

Yep...me and the pink rollers!
All dressed up...this was taken in my Granny B.'s backyard. Notice the STRAIGHT hair!
My brother, Tom, and me...I think I am even holding my security blanket, Besty!
This year's Easter Finery...a "short" skirt and glittery shoes...2 things I never thought I'd wear, but it's what a chose this year! Those who know me know that's a pretty big stretch for me!
Aren't these cute? Perfect match for the skirt...I can't believe my luck in that!

My brother Andrae' had those cereal-bowl-hat's too. And yes, the pink rollers graced my head a few times as well :)

I guess every girl growing up in the 80s had those same pink rollers! I sure remember sleeping on them and hating it.

Love the shoes...enjoy the sparkles!

Hi Angie!! I found you through Jen W.'s blog. Wow, it looks like that you have a lot of exciting things going on in your life. It was good to "catch up". I think the last time I saw you was in your house in Plainfield. Where does the time go?

I'll be praying for your little girl- you are going to change her life and she yours. Blessings.

Cute outfit, by the way.
