Translation

Ever notice as you read the Bible that a verse you've read a thousand times, will come to you with a fresh new meaning...in the nick of time! That happened to me at church yesterday. I love reading the same verse in different translations...sometimes a different word choice will just make the verse "pop" in my heart.

"If we freely admit that we have sinned,

if we find God utterly reliable and straightforward...

He forgives our sins and makes us

thoroughly clean from all that is evil."

I John 1:9

UTTERLY reliable...thoroughly cleanse...those words were just new to my heart as I read them...and it was a great reminder that my God is all that! UTTERLY reliable...wow!
