The Skinny on the Skinny

So now I have a date.

Every time I say that I laugh a little to myself cause I am as excited about this "date" as I would be with a "date" of the male, romantic variety.

My surgery will be Thursday, December 10 at 8:00.  I will begin a liquid diet on November 30 or December 1.  It's supposed to be 10 days...but does that count surgery day?  Who knows....I am betting they will let me know.  yes, liquid for 10 days.  I am guessing that no one will want to be around me during that time!  :)  Did I mention that I will be doing liquids for 10 days?  Can you say - HUNGRY?!?!?!?  Apparently, this depletes your glycogen stores and shrinks your liver making it easier for the surgeon to get to the part of the stomach that they use to create the pouch and bypass. 

So for the next 10 days, I will be having some of the things I love the most.  It's not that I will NEVER have these things again.  it's not the end of my days of enjoying eating...but it is the beginning of a lifestyle change.  This weekend, my friend Sydney and I are going to PF Chang's...one of my most favorites!  I am guessing we may do a bit of shopping as well.  I mean...we do have to drive over an hour to get to the restaurant...may as well make the most of it!
