I can't believe that I will be leaving for China in just a few hours. I've waited so long for this day that this moment is totally surreal.
I spent my day relaxing and running errands. It was a busy day...but so fun as I made my final preparations for Emma. I had the oil changed in the car and had it washed. I got a massage and a final, pre-China adjustment at the chiropractor. I hung out and prayed with family and friends. And I cleaned like a wild woman! Everything is ready...even me.
I have prayed Phillipians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, with prayer and petition and with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God which trancends all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus." constantly and it seems to be working! I am filled with peace, joy...and total excitement.
Don't get me wrong...I have had plenty of anxious moments. And I am being realistic about those first few days with Emma. I know there will be some really tough moments, but I also know that my God is with me! He has been so faithful to bring me to this point and I know He isn't going anywhere!
Keep those prayers coming! I appreciate your encouragement and support so much! Blogger and Facebook are blocked in China, but my friend Sydney will be blogging for me via email. (Thank you, my dear friend!) I know that your comments, support and suggestions will be such an encouragement in the days ahead!

WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!! I had planned to call you this afternoon to wish you an awesome and wonderful trip, but next thing you know it was after dinner and the girls were going to bed and it was nearly 9pm and I am sure you were asleep. :-(
Anyway...we are praying for you and will be checking the blog and can't wait to see Miss Emma with her new Mamma!! Oh, how I wish I could be back in East TN to help you the way you helped us!!! You were such a dear friend to us after we brought Lili home and I am so sad to not be able to return the favor...but prayer is the most important thing anyway...so I will do that!!!
Happy flying!!!!!!

I am totally in tears as I read this. I feel like so many of your friends probably feel. I feel as if I have waited for Emma right along with you and am feeling so anxious and excited too. I know it is nothing compared to your feelings. I have just wanted this for you so bad and have prayed like crazy so for it to actually be happening seems so amazing!
I can't wait to see pictures of you next to your Emma. God is so good and faithful and his timing is so perfect. Thanks for sharing this journey with us! Love you, my friend.
Well, I can basically say "DITTO" to what Tiffany said. I feel the exact same way! I have goosebumbs from head to toe thinking about you on your way to meet your baby girl!! I have also been praying for you, and every time I do, I get so choked up thinking about God's goodness. I absolutely cannot wait to see pictures and to hear every detail that you send to your friend Sydney. I will be checking this blog like crazy!!! Praying for you and SOOOOOOOOO excited for you!!!
Love,
Natalie
Enjoy every second of your time in China! Thank you for letting others follow your journey through your blog!
