The Lake + Fireworks=Good Times

Happy Fourth of July!  (Almost)

Tonight we went to the lake with some friends.  We went out on their boat to watch the fireworks.  I was a little concerned about Emma...she hadn't had much of a nap...we'd had a busy day...and the new experiences of a boat and fireworks.  It was the makings of an explosion...but Emma had a blast!  Well...she hated the life jacket at first, but she eventually resigned herself to the fact that she would have to wear it!

She REALLY liked leaning over the edge...made me a little nervous!

She would wave at every boat that passed...

She had a baggie of goldfish and m&m's...always a winner!

Once the fireworks started, she really cared more about her goodies than the sparkly flashes in the sky.

What she did watch, she really liked...even if she was wearing a life jacket!
